Short answer: send the best file you have: PNG, JPG, PDF, SVG or AI. A vector file (SVG, AI or PDF) is best because it stays sharp at any size. If you only have a small or blurry image, send it anyway and we'll tell you whether it will print well.
1. Your logo prints in one color
Custom tape is printed in 1 ink color: black, white, red, blue, green, yellow or gray. If your logo has several colors, shading or a photo in it, it will print as a single solid color. A one-color version of your logo usually looks best. Don't have one? Send what you have and your free proof will show how it comes out.
2. Match the ink to the tape
- White tape: any dark ink stands out. White ink doesn't show on white tape.
- Clear tape: the box shows through, so on brown boxes black or white ink reads best.
3. Keep it simple
Tape is narrow, so very thin lines and tiny text can fill in. Bold shapes and short words print cleanest. Your logo repeats along the roll, so it doesn't need to say everything at once.
4. Add a short line if you like
You can add text such as your website, your Instagram handle or "Thank you for shopping small" (up to 100 characters on the product page). It prints in the same ink color.
5. See it before you pay
Upload your logo to our free See your logo on tape tool to try white or clear tape and all 7 ink colors. After you order, we email a free proof within 1 business day, and nothing prints until you approve it.
Where to send it
Upload it on the product page when you order, or email it to hello@komodotape.com with your order number.
